Morgan Academy seeks to enroll well-qualified students from a variety of backgrounds who have the potential to succeed in the school’s academic program. Upon the student’s family’s acceptance into the Dallas County Education Foundation, admission is based on the student’s ability through the entrance exam, grades, standardized test reports, school transcript, and interview.

Families desiring to enroll students at John Tyler Morgan Academy must first become members of the Dallas County Private School Foundation, Inc.  Upon approval of the Foundation membership by the Board of Directors, the process of student enrollment begins with the completion and submission of the Student Enrollment Application.  An application must be submitted for each student.

Membership in the Foundation does not guarantee admission to the school operated by the Foundation.  Admission to Morgan Academy as a student is based on the student’s ability demonstrated through grades and standardized test reports on the school transcript and the student’s performance on Morgan Academy’s entrance examination.  Every effort is made to ensure that students who are admitted have the ability to succeed in the Academy’s academic program. An important part of Morgan Academy’s mission is the development of character and social responsibility; therefore, each student’s conduct, both at school and away, concerns the school.  Morgan Academy operates under an Honor Code by which the student obligates him or herself to personal honesty in actions and words and commits him or herself to report irregularities.

After completion, the application is reviewed by the Enrollment Committee and submitted to the Board of Directors.  The Board will consider the application at the next regularly scheduled Board meeting or a special called meeting, if necessary, following the date of the application.  Enrollment is based on the requirements of the Foundation By-Laws and School Policy.  The applicant will be notified as to the acceptance or rejection of the application.  After approval, each applicant must submit a completed registration card and pay a registration fee, along with any tuition due for the applicable school year.  This shall be paid by the applicant prior to applicant’s child attending class.

Morgan Academy admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to the students at the school.
